OHUG & LS Cable sign international agreement

On 1st May 2008 OHUG Power Equipment Ltd signed a distribution agreement with LS Cable Ltd to distribute low voltage electrical tubing products in the Australasian region.

LS Cable Ltd was part of the LG Korea Group of companies until 2003 and now has an international turnover of over 300 billion US dollars. LS Cable Ltd manufacture everything from heatshrink tubing, medium to high voltage cable overhead and underground, telecommunication cables and accessories, electronic parts, automotive parts, machinery which includes air-conditioning units, farm tractors and injection molding machines.

OHUG have been successfully exporting LS product for the past 12 months. The signing of this agreement cements the relationship between LS Cable and OHUG and paves the way for OHUG Power Equipment to establish a presence in Australia and build the LS brand in New Zealand. The agreement was finalised with a visit by a team from the Special Wire & Cable Division from LS Cable Ltd to OHUG Pukekohe.

OHUG is thrilled to be the sole distributor in the Australasian region. This will be of a great benefit to the New Zealand electrical industry. LS offers a fantastic R & D with developments into new heat shrink tubing not seen before in New Zealand that fits in well with New Zealand ’s clean green image. END.
